Jade is a passionate storyteller from Vancouver Island, driven by a belief in the profound impact of narratives. Jade grew up being read to daily, until she took over herself and developed her passions. Her cinematic journey began with the completion of the Film Production Program at InFocus Film School, a comprehensive year-long exploration of all the aspects of film production.

Jade wrote and directed her debut short films, "Hatching" and “Lingering”. Both are examples of her connection to character and sensibilities as a director. Hatching has been an official selection at multiple film festivals. Jade and her dad, Calvin, founded Mighty Dragon Media to keep crafting new stories and to help others tell theirs.

When not crafting stories, Jade is often consuming them in all their various forms. Books, films, tv series, video games, you name it. She enjoys drawing, mostly inspired by her favourite books and media. She also enjoys being surrounded by nature, and you can often find her gazing at the sky, watching birds and studying wildlife.

Equal parts techical and creative.

Calvin has a background in software development, but before he fell into that, he was a performer and storyteller that used everything from the street to the early internet as a stage. (Sometimes he also used an actual stage.) Now he's very happy to be working with his daughter and focusing on stories again.

Calvin brings a very diverse set of skills and insights to every project. He's equally happy operating equipment, brainstorming ideas, writing, editing, pitching, working with clients/partners, and even acting.

He believes that narrative is the human operating system and stories are the most powerful tool we have to understand and direct our lives. It's also just fun! When not working on projects, he's probably dreaming up new projects. When he does relax a bit, he likes to spend time with family and friends, pursuing interests as diverse as his skillsets.
